Towns, villages and small cities are found throughout the three counties of Peterborough, Northumberland and Kawartha Lakes in Central Ontario. Traveling through these places many times over the years I photographed the buildings, people and locations that were representative of these places. The influx of people from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) are creating drastic changes and expansion in this area. The goal of this series is to photographically document the remnants of the past as well in some cases as the current existing reality. This photographic record will not include cliché tourist like photographs but instead, concentrate on the more off beat and unexpected subjects. The photographs, therefore, represent random subject matter that gives each place a unique character. Moments that are slipping away with the passing of time and others not easily noticed.
