Protective Dome, Toronto, 2018
All types of weather can produce good conditions for photography and that includes rain. To make this image I stayed in one location for a longer period to time, something I usually don’t do. The reason was the smoke or mist rising from the sewer system. As it streamed from a culvert in the middle of a busy road, I waited patiently for the cars to pass and for people of interest who were passing by. As rain was falling lightly, people had umbrellas as they walked to work. This person strolled through the picture frame with the right motion and placed himself well into the picture frame. The location was near the corner of York and King Streets and the person walked right into my composition which I had time to set up perfectly with King Street leading off into the distance.
