Tunnelled Vision, 2019

This series is about making candid street photographs of people on the streets of Toronto from the period of 2015 to 2020. In almost all cases people where unaware of my camera, although in a couple of cases they were curious as to my intent. Making documentary photographs on the street can be done in two ways. Spending the time working with people with their permission or taking candid photographs in a way that they don’t realize your presence. The advantage of candid photographs is purely one of documenting people, as they are undirected and natural. This candid photography of people unaware has been done throughout the history of photography by a multitude of photographers and is not ground breaking, yet continues a long history of such endeavours.
