Winter Flow

Eels Creek a long flowing waterfall in the Kawarthas was a place I frequented around 15 times from November to April. I enjoyed photographing the changes in flow and the formation of ice as the seasons changed and the light levels also were in a state of daily and seasonal flux. Visiting the same location might seem boring to some, yet getting to know a location can be beneficial to making better photographs. Persistence leads to a better understanding of a location and a better understanding of where to position your camera. This small cascade of water in this photo is framed by shining newly formed ice. The water shows detail in the diffused light and the ice has a very slight reflection.
