Meet the photographer

Hello and Welcome, I'm Randall Romano

Man in black Canada t-shirt stands in green field at sunset with forest silhouette in background.

Randall Romano (1957) is a Canadian based documentary photographer and educator concentrating on both short- and long-term projects. He currently lives on a country property near Lakefield, Ontario with his lifelong partner Catherine. Photography although always a passion took a backseat to raising four children until 2000, when he started a part-time commercial business. In 2015 he changed course into making more personal photography projects that were orientated towards documentary street work. He also began lecturing and teaching photography to a variety of camera clubs and in continuing education classes and workshops.

Randall is a passionate Canadian embracing the beauty and diversity of the Canadian experience and currently is working on a variety of photography projects showing a cross section of Canadian places. He currently writes a publication about photography in Substack with new articles appearing every two weeks.

“Excellent! Exceptional knowledge base; encouraged questions throughout and provided thoughtful and relevant answers; a broad-based introduction to photography. I am very interested in taking the 6-session course.”

“Great course was very interactive and the professor was amazing. I genuinely enjoyed the course, and I wish I would be able to take his 6 weeks course to keep learning.”

“We really enjoyed this course and learned a lot about making photos and the technology involved. Randall was easy to listen to and was very knowledgeable. His use of PowerPoint photos was excellent. We would gladly take another course with Randall.”
